We offer a vast assortment of sea vegetables in dried form, sold as flakes, leaves, granules, sheets, in capsules and as powder. They’re easy in use, using sprinkle-on shakers to add to food/ recipes, sprinkled on drinks, or mixed in shakes. Use for soups, salads, various dishes, casseroles, stew, or stir-fried with veggies. Eat with cereals, grains like rice, bread, and pasta. Storage: store airtight in a cool dark place such as a kitchen cupboard. It will keep nearly indefinitely. Can absorb moisture from the air which will lead to a decrease in shelf-life and therefore we recommend that everything is stored in airtight plastic bags.

The Atlantic coast of Ireland is one of the most productive seaweed growing areas in the world. Its climate, over 5000 kilometres of rocky habitat, and an abundance of nutrient-rich waters and large tidal flow make it an ideal habitat for macro algae or seaweed. The gulfstream carries clean water full of nutrients and oxygen from Mexico to Ireland all year round. More than 600 different species of seaweed have been identified in Irish waters. One reason for this diversity is that it is located between 51 and 55° N. Hand harvested at the county Kerry and Cork coast, at the rugged, storm washed peninsulas.

Water quality and sustainability.

Our seaweed is harvest in Kenmare Bay, grown  in clean, clear, class”A” waters. (S.A.C) designated under the European Union Habitats Directive, as being a vital area of environmental significance. Quality seaweed harvested in a clean and sustainable aquatic ecosystem. (EU Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC)

People are now faced with so many health challenges, physically, mentally, emotionally, and environmentally that they can use some help. Regular long-term dietary inclusion of seaweed is reputed among other things, to help regulate metabolism and energy, stimulate the immune system, soothe the digestive tract, cleanse the blood, protect against bacterial and viral infection, maintain healthy cellular function, and support the proper functioning of the endocrine glands, especially the thyroid. And its inclusion will enhance vitality.

The Japanese are among the greatest consumers of seaweeds, with about 60 different species being used and eaten. They have developed many different ways of preparing them. Many seaweed or sea greens varieties are best known by Japanese names. They’re seen as a very valuable product, nutritive, source of salt, for seasoning/fermenting, or as medicine. Total consumption of seaweed exceeds 300,000 tonne/year, or average of 2 gram (1DR) person/day.

Sea Spaghetti seaweed, potential protein/alginate association.

Sea Spaghetti seaweed addition was highly effective at reinforcing water/oil retention capacity, hardness and elastic modulus in different meat products including a frankfurters. That Sea Spaghetti alginates apparently prevented thermal denaturation of a considerable protein fraction. Researchers assume that salt-soluble proteins associate athermally with seaweed alginates on heating and contains much stronger alginate-type gels than other seaweeds.
Others studies on n-3 PUFA enriched frankfurters that adding 5% of Himanthalia elongata (sea spaghetti) will affect the physicochemical, sensory and microbiological characteristics of the product in positive sence.
